Post-Production

Post-Production refers to the finishing stages of certain media that require acquisition of other media. For instance, a video requires the acquisition of video scenes, text and graphics. Once these media are acquired or produced, they must be assembled as a finished video program. This assembly is called Post-Production. Some media do not require post-production because they, themselves are elements of other media and are more or less completed in the production stage. These media are:

Recently, the term, post-production has also come to be used for any medium where the producer wishes to refer to aftermarket services which should be considered by the client, but rarely are.
